Studio Manager / Creative Director

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the overall quality of the deliverable coming out of the studio.

  • Ensure client Service Level Agreement (SLA) and deliverable dates are met with ease.

  • Ensure the correct use of production tools (Jobflow and Jira) as applicable.

  • Ensure the latest workflow methodologies are reviewed and applied as appropriate.

  • Remain aware and versed in emerging technology and apply to our current workflow where appropriate.

  • Ensure brand consistency across all brands.

  • Interpret and translate the brief/client requirements and effectively communicate with the team.

  • Make sure to deliver the best output to the market and to our client’s customers’ high expectations.

  • Be proactive and therefore anticipate and rectify issues at project outset before they become a problem.

  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with all team members and clients.

  • Develop and maintain a great understanding and appreciation of the client’s brands.

  • Ensure that Time and Materials are correctly accounted for to help produce accurate billing and invoice information.

  • Ensure that the studio is run cost-effectively and that personnel understands cost implications.

  • Identify and carry out any necessary trials, tests or research in order to benefit projects, maintain quality and reduce cost.

  • Build and maintain brand understanding throughout the team.

  • Build and drive your relationship with key contacts in the business (studio, report, creative, client services, etc.)

  • Identify, document and investigate any circumstances surrounding internal non-conformance and in-house revisions.

  • Conduct a continuous assessment of the Studio’s working practices in order to identify improvements and efficiencies within the operating processes.

Requirements

  • BA / MBA in business administration, creative or production-related field is preferred with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in a creative graphic-motion design and digital production environment. A combination of work experience and education can be substituted.

  • A minimum of 3 years of managing staff with a complete understanding of digital artwork, print and studio communication.

  • Computer / IT literate, preferably on Windows with strong knowledge in Adobe CC including but not limited to After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

  • Full knowledge of all production methodologies and digital formats.

  • Client facing experience essential.

  • Exceptional organizational skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proven ability to demonstrate sound commercial awareness.

  • Proven ability to work to a tight timeline and juggle numerous tasks.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and find solutions in a pressured environment.

  • Works closely with the Studio staff (locally) and Managing Directors (overseas).
